LASER CUTTING METAL
The laser cutting heads adapted to the beam source enable laser flame cutting of mild steel and high-pressure laser fusion with optimum cutting quality. Narrow kerfs, smooth and burr-free cut edges as well as very minimal heat-affected zones characterise the cutting result. Postprocessing is not required.
In principle, all metallic materials in sheet format can be cut on the laser cutting machines. Mild steel is separable up to 30 mm, stainless steel up to 18 mm and aluminium up to 15 mm sheet thickness. Even highly reflective metals such as copper or brass can be cut quickly and efficiently thanks to the extremely high laser intensities.

Due to their design, the laser beam sources are protected against retro-reflections and cannot damage the laser system.

LASER CUTTING
Different materials can be cut with the same machines. Processing of other materials is also theoretically possible. Thanks to computer control, the machine is able to cut differently shaped laser parts from a metal sheet. This allows several jobs to be processed simultaneously.

Every conceivable shape is possible, which is a great advantage over shearing. There are no limits to creativity. Computer programs help position the workpieces. Smaller laser parts, for example, are arranged in areas that would have remained unused in conservative metalworking.
